Thursday 19 April 9.30 to 11.30 am School Holiday Walk Toongabbie Creek Baulkham Hills

A walk designed for children aged 8 to 13 years and their carers. We will walk along a bushland corridor from Col Sutton Reserve to Sierra Place. Learn how to identify trees from their seed, pods, find fungi and bush tucker. Cost free

Saturday 21 April 2.00 to 4.00 pm Gladesville Hospital Guided Walk

Walk through the grounds of Gladesville Hospital to see the gardens planted to calm troubled minds and the elegantĀ  buildings built to reflect the new style mental health treatment pioneered in Sydney by Dr Frederick Manning , the Hospital’s first superintendent. Cost $15 per person

Sunday 20 May 10.30 am to 12.30 pm Porters Road West Fire Trail Kenthurst

Walk along the fire trail along the sandstone ridge at the end of Porters Road. Natural vegetation on these ridges is fairly rare due to land clearing for farms and suburban development. Learn about the plants which are native to Sydney sandstone ridgetops. A rest stop will be enjoyed at a lookout with views down into O’Hara’s Creek.
